UMA System Production Release

ViewTrade Technology will be releasing the new User Microservice Authentication (UMA) system to on production on Saturday, September 27, starting at 9 a.m. EST. This will impact the Account Management and Onboarding (AMO) system, with downtime expected to extend until 9 a.m. EST on Sunday, September 28. Please note that the AMO system will be down intermittently during the release.

The UMA system update is a breaking change that will not be backward compatible with previous versions once completed.

In addition, this update involves a user interface (UI) change to the Account Management dashboard and the “V1” UI of Account Management will no longer be accessible after the UMA system goes into production. Clients should take the time before production deployment to familiarize themselves with the new “V2” interface that is currently available.

Be advised that client-side modification to the base URL for access between UMA and AMO is required for a successful transition:

To access UMA, add the segment /uma after the base URL. To access AMO, the segment is /amo. Here is an example UMA request URL to the staging environment: https://user-auth-gateway-staging.orbisfn.io/uma/api/applications/create

The UMA system also requires two-factor authentication. All B2B users must have verified email addresses to access the AMO system after this production update. Please plan accordingly prior to this release to avoid any unnecessary disruption.

If you have any concerns or need assistance testing your system in UAT, please reach out to our team ahead of the release date. More information on UMA can be found here and the complete API changelog can be found here
